  • UK changes its Visa Policy : 
  •                                       The changes come just days before British Prime Minister Theresa May lands in India on Sunday for her three-day visit.

      United Kingdom government has announced change in visa policies for Non European Nationals. New policy may affect Indian professionals who are working over there especially in IT Sector. According to new policy anyone applying for visa after November 24 under the Tier 2 intra-company transfer (ICT) category would be required to meet a higher salary threshold requirement of £30,000 from the earlier £20,800.

UN climate report said that though agreement is signed by almost all countries but still temperature is continue rise about 1.5 degree celcius.
      • Google ties up with ASI for virtual tour of monuments : 

      Google has tied up with Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) for virtual tour of old monuments. According to this tie up Google will show 360 degree virtual tour of 280 old monuments of India.

      GST Council pegs the GST rate structure at 5, 12, 18 and 28 per cent.
      • GST Council fixes 4-rate structure :
       the GST Council finalised on Thursday a multiple-slab rate structure, including the cess, for the new indirect tax. The quantum of cess on each of these will depend on the current incidence of tax.The Goods and Services Tax (GST) will be leveled at multiple rates ranging from 0 per cent to 28 per cent.
      • Mcr-1 isolated in India, a further chapter in antibiotic resistance :
      Indian researchers have isolated a strain of E.Coli bacteria, by a new gene (mcr -1), described previously as ‘truly pan-drug resistant’. With mcr-1, however, the gene is found in the plasmid medium, a small DNA molecule outside of the chromosomal DNA, meaning the infection can spread in hospitals, and the community.

      • Delhi Smog on its peak : low visibility: Vehicles passing through dense smog along the Rajghat Power Station on Friday.
      Today smog breaks all records of last 17 years in Delhi , the centre for science and Enviornment (CSE) said. Peak level of respirable pollutants & PM 10 also violated the safe limits . About 1700 schools are closed due to smog.

       Mobile payments company MobiKwik and Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) have announced an exclusive partnership, wherein MobiKwik will power e-cash payments on IRCTC's e-catering app, Food on Track.
