  •       Hindi got its name from Persian word Hind means Land of Indus River.

  •          Hindi has its roots in mother of languages Sanskrit , its nearly in 5000 BC.

  •          The constituent assembly adopted Hindi as an official language on 14,September,1949 that’s why this day is celebrated as world Hindi day.

  •          In Article 343 (1) of the Constitution of India states "The Official Language of the  Union government shall be Hindi in Devanagari script."

  •          Hindi became India’s official language in 1965.

  •          Bihar is the first state of India to adopt Hindi as its official state language. In 1881 Bihar adopted Hindi Replacing Urdu.

  •         Hindi is spoken by around 500 million people worldwide.

  •         There are many countries except India in which Hindi language is very popular these countries are Mauritius, Fiji, Suriname, Guyana, Trinidad & Tobago, Pakistan, Nepal etc.

  •       Hindi language has 11 vowels and 33 consonants in it.


  •         There is no article in Hindi language.

  •         First hindi poem was written by “Ameer Khusro”.

  •         In 1977 Mr. Atal Bihari Bajpeyi first to give speech in Hindi language in UNO.

  •          Prem Sagar written by Lallu Lal was published in 1805  is considered as first published book in Hindi.

  •         First Hindi typewriter came in market in 1930.

  •         Hindi is one of the seven languages of India that can be used to make web addresses (URLs).
