• Emergency declared in three cities of Mexico : 

                    

Mexico Government declares sate of emergency in three cities of Mexico .that have been hit by heavy flooding.The Interior Department said yesterday that the declaration frees up disaster relief funds for the cities of Altamira, Ciudad Madero and Tampico.

• Indian woman named Businesswoman of the year in Australia:

Uppma Virdi,A lawyer by profession and founder of "Chai Wali"(seller of different flavored tea) received Business woman of the year award at the India Australia community Awards held in Sydney.

• International day for preventing exploit ion of environment in war and Armed Conflict observed  :

On 6th November 2016 International day for preventing exploit ion of environment in war and Armed Conflict observed globally. On 5 November 2001 UN decided to celebrate this day.

• Indian Lawyer Elected into UN Legal Body :                                                                                              

Aniruddha Rajput, 33,a young Indian lawyer won a hotly-contested election in the UN General Assembly for membership to the world body's top body of legal experts.He is among the 34 individuals elected by the General Assembly as members of the International Law Commission.

• India and Sri Lanka setup joint working group to address fishermen issue :

                         
 

India and Sri Lanka have agreed to set up a Joint Working Group on Fisheries (JWG) and a hotline between their Coast Guards to address the long-standing issue of fishermen from Tamil Nadu being arrested, the External Affairs Ministry said here on Saturday.

• One Day ban on Assam News channel & NDTV : 

                                        
After NDTV India, the Government has also ordered that an Assam-based news channel News Times Assam be taken off air for a day, According to government these channels  “violated” programming guidelines on more than one occasion. An I&B ministry order dated November 2, has sought that the channel ‘News Time Assam’, be taken off air on November 9, for a day.

• Theresa May arrives on a three-day visit :

British Prime Minister Theresa May arrived in India on Sunday, with an agenda to enhance Indo-U.K. ties in the key areas of trade, investment, defence and security.

• Narendra Modi inaugurates 1st International Agro-Biodiversity Congress 2016 : 

                      

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the first ever International Agro-biodiversity Congress, IAC in  Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi on 6th November. The event was attended by 900 delegates from 60 countries. The event helped to initiate and encourage a dialogue among stakeholders, including farmers.

• Andhra Pradesh tops World Bank's energy-saving ranking :

                                 
 Andhra Pradesh earned a top billing from the World Bank which declared the Sunrise state as No 1 in India in energy efficiency.

• IMD ill-equipped to gauge oceanic phenomena: Earth Sciences Secretary :

 The India Meteorological Department’s climate forecast system was ill-equipped to gauge crucial oceanic phenomena, as a result of which it had to revise its prediction for rainfall from the Southwest monsoon from “above normal” to “normal”, a top official said.

• Japan launches advanced weather satellite Himawari-9 :

                      

 Japan on Wednesday launched a next-generation geostationary meteorological satellite "Himawari-9," aiming to further improve meteorological services in the Asia-Pacific region.

• Airforce Club Iraq Lift Federation Cup :
